Baby Sleeping signs from Cranny + Restocking .

I've said this before, but the start-to-finish process of the 2013 Cranny calendars, which are 40% off! right now! until January 30th!, was revolutionary for me. I'm realizing, more and more, that just like money, time has wings. I love the creative process. All of it. The problem is that I can't seem to find all of the hours in my day for such processes.

Over the next several months, I suspect that you'll see more items like the Cranny calendars and these baby sleeping cards, projects that begin with a pen or paintbrush but end with a print or copy, and less of items like the Cranny door sweaters, although those can always be requested.

There's another reason, though, that I'm phasing out the Cranny door sweaters: I've lost my love for them.  I don't want to make things just for the sake of making something. I want to love what I create and enjoy the process of making it, which is difficult to do when you feel burnt out. Well, in this case, door sweatered out. (smile)

I would be remiss not to thank so many of you who have purchased Cranny items or sent along kind words and referrals. Thank you to those of you who have mentioned Cranny in your blog posts and tweets, to those of you who have pinned and posted on facebook. Thank you for all that you have done to support Cranny. Here's to creating in 2013!

ps. I thought you should be the first to know: I'm adding a small line of canvases to Cranny! Stay tuned.

I know you do! I have no idea how you do all that you do! I'm so blessed to call you my sister in law! And, I am so thrilled that you love your calendar! Thanks for the excitement on the canvases-- I'm really thrilled about this adventure. Just hoping they turn out like I am imagining. . .

  3. So glad you are being "true to yourself." Every time I've committed to projects I don't love I end up dreading them.

Your new signs remind me of Patty's handmade baby signs she gives to people to ward off salesmen. =D

In case nobody told you today...you really do have the most beautiful handwriting in the whole wide world.

  7. Kerry,

What? How do I not know about Patty's handmade signs? This must have happened after I left? I'm sad to have missed out! You are so sweet-- I always think *you* have the best handwriting in the world!

    Shakeshakee,
you are kind! They make very sweet gifts for tired, new mommies, that is for sure! : ) Thanks for popping by!

    Beth,
ha! Well, the good news is that you don't need a lot of room for them-- they are only 4" x 4" : )
