quick and easy DIY jar display from Anthropologie

The window displays at Anthropologie are always stunning.  Shocker, I know.
It is amazing how they so easily transform corksclothes-pinsmarshmallows, and many other everyday items into beautiful pieces of art.  This past weekend, while in Portland, I spied Anthropologie's spring window display.  It was full of beautiful color and, wait for it, paint-splashed canning jars.

I happily realized that I could easily do this at home; I already owned several mason jars in different sizes and, thanks to my Graeme-bear, I had a colorful supply of finger-paint! ( For different height options, I also added in some baby food jars that I had from when Graeme was teeny-tiny. )

This project took all of thirty minutes.  It was so quick and easy and I love all of the color on my mantle.  And the best part?  When I am finished with them, I can wash them out and make these beautiful mason jar snow globes for next Christmas.

I can't wait to add some fresh flowers from our farmer's market to my happy mantel!
happy mondaying to you...............
